This course is designed to introduce the student to one of the main operating systems presently in use with the personal computer, Microsoft Windows. The course will also cover the area of word processing, using Microsoft Word, as well as the area of presentation software, using Microsoft PowerPoint. Students will be introduced to basics of the spreadsheet application, Microsoft Excel as well as the database software, Microsoft Access. Along with the software aspect of the course, this class is also constructed to familiarize the student with the basic hardware of the computer and covers other current topics in the area of technology.
